THE WHEN, WHY, WHO AND WHAT... OH AND HOW?
LET US BEGIN
We at Snazz Business Media Solutions are a small group of unique and talented young individuals dedicated to the work we do and love. We are made up of 6 very special people of all shapes and sizes and colours and flavours. Our skills range from graphic design to programming to kick-ass soprano singing.
We take great pride in knowing that the work we produce is of a high standard. We work very hard to ensure that our clients are completely satisfied with the work we produce and that they get great value for their money.
We like to think of our work as unique, and as such avoid using pre-built, messy, and bloated systems that don't really offer you what you want. We take the approach that, together with our clients and our knowledge of the great world wide web, we can create a tailor made product that not only suites our clients' needs, but looks sexy in the process.
Looking back at where we were 4 years ago, we have come along in leaps and bounds and our knowledge of the web, and as a result our work, continues to evolve.
WHAT WE CAN DO
Well, there are a lot of things that we can do... Balloon animals, face painting (at weddings we call this "make up artistry"), children's parties, weddings and even new year's parties!
Oh alright... we lied! We can't do any of the above, but you can't blame a company for dreaming big. What we really do is probably a lot less exciting to most people (although we'll argue otherwise). We offer a number of services including:

HOW WE DO IT
Well to be honest it's quite a complicated procedure that involves all sorts of tools including hammers, chisels, screw drivers, LOTS of power tools, a computer, some software and our own intellect. With these tools in hand we have learnt how to craft whatever our clients ask for.
Between us, we have 1 honours degree, 2 undergraduate degrees, 1 diploma, and two incredibly well self-taught individuals.
WHERE WE'RE HEADING
Currently we're heading due south-south-east... or there about. We would provide proper co-ordinates but we lost our GPS...
Oh right! You wanted a serious answer... sorry; we tend to get carried away in our own little stories.
Snazz is making great moves to expand beyond the Pietermaritzburg market as we continue to establish a solid reputation for ourselves. We want people to trust Snazz as a brand and to know that when they hire us, that they will be getting the same quality work that we provide all our clients with.
THE QUESTION NOW IS WHO?
Andrew Hatcher
Role: Andrew is an Account Executive at Snazz. He liaises with existing clients and follows up on their marketing needs as well as handling the acquisition of new accounts.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Culinary Diploma
- 4 year Degree in Marketing Management - BBA (IMM)
- 3 year Diploma in Marketing Communications (IMM)
- Diploma in Graphic illustrations (Vega Brand Communications College)
- 3 year diploma in Brand Communications (IMM)
- 2 year certificate in Fine Arts and Illustration (currently in my 3rd year for my Diploma) (CFAD)
Origins: Andrew was born in England, and spent his early childhood in Zimbabwe before moving to South Africa where he spent most of his teenage years in JHB until he moved down to Hilton.
Hobbies: Andrew enjoys drawing, painting, jewellery making, theatre and going to art exhibitions. When with friends he enjoys cooking up a storm. Andrew also enjoys a good round of golf.
Nonjabulo Ngubane
Role: Nonjabulo manages the financial and operational functions of the company as well as forming a part of the sales & client relations function.
Qualifications:
- IMM Diploma in Marketing at Varsity College
Experience: Nonjabulo spent two years in the Client Services and Marketing teams of a private and a public tertiary institution. Then she joined a large Financial Services Provider, where she managed the Internal Investment Consultant team and acted as back-up for numerous operational roles.
Hobbies: Nonjabulo enjoys painting, largely acrylics & oils. She also enjoys tennis and rugby and dabbles in events management. She also volunteers her spare time and skills to a few NGO's.
Chris Stapleton
Role: Chris Stapleton is the company's designer. He has specialised in Web Design, however he is extremely capable when it comes to the world of print.
Qualifications:
- Self taught with 6 years experience in the web industry.

Experience: Upon leaving Matric Chris was offered a full time position in a local media house giving him a solid grounding in advertising and desktop publishing. After a year he decided to refocus his attentions to web and logo design. Chris is currently in his third year of working for Snazz.
Origins: Chris was born in London England, and moved to South Africa when he was about 5. He lived on the South Coast up until he moved to Pietermaritzburg to work for Snazz. Despite living in the country a long time, Chris still has a British accent which he maintains is "real".
Hobbies: When not working for Snazz, Chris spends his time reading, experimenting with his camera, drawing, supporting Chelsea Football Club and working on various personal design projects.
Stewart Clark
Role: Stewart Clark is currently working as the front end developer of almost all our sites. He is however also a qualified backend developer.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Information Technology (Programming).

Experience: Upon leaving College Stewart entered employment with Snazz and has been working here for the past year and a half.
Origins: Stewart was born in Pietermaritzburg and has lived in hilton his entire life.
Hobbies: When away from his work PC Stewart can often be found gaming with friends or participating in an energetic game of Ping Pong.
Stephen Pitchford
Role: Stephen is employed as a part time backend developer and does some work with frontend development when needed. He is currently doing a masters degree in Computer Science at the KZN University.
Qualifications:
- BSc from University of KwaZulu-Natal PMB (Computer Science, Statistics).
- Honours Degree from University of KwaZulu-Natal PMB (Computer Science).

Experience: Stephen is currently in his third year of working for Snazz while studying at University.
Origins: Stephen was born and has lived in Pietermaritzburg his entire life.
Hobbies: Gaming on PC and Xbox, Bagpipe playing (yes... he really does play the bagpipes!), playing tennis and squash, and programming.
William Stam
Role: William is the company's newest employee imported from Limpopo. William is a backend developer and also specialises in frontend jQuery.
Qualifications:

Experience: William has worked as a freelance developer on and off over the years. William also worked at a newspaper company for 6 years as a System Administrator, Web Application Developer and Website Designer & Developer.
Origins: William was born in Limpopo and has lived in South Africa the majority of his life except for a short stint in the UK.
Hobbies: Programming, emerging technologies, researching interesting stuff, chess,
Playing sports – hockey, cricket, swimming, PC games, reading, etc.
